Cuesta

Philippines

This early registered cover dated February 20, 1856 is franked with the Spanish Philippines 5c and 2r going from Manila to New Caceres. Besides a great rarity of Philippines first issue being amongst its most valuable frankings, it is probably the very first registered letter usage in Asia!

A small cover mailed in 1851 from Paris to Donegal, Ireland with quadruple franking of 1Fr60 but spectacularly composed of First Issue 15c (4) and 25c (4) interspaced horizontally. Obviously a top cover rarity of the first issue.
