This is the only recorded Norway #1 cover with 24 skilling postage used inland. The block of 6 is also the largest known multiple cancelled by pen. Text on the front of the cover reads: "Skrivelse fra Chr. Hervig med 10 bilage" (letter from Chr. Hervig with 10 enclosures). Chr. Hervig lived on the farm Hervig in Modum. He has delivered this letter to the Post Office in Wigersund (present Vikersund): Manuscript "Wsund 25/2-56". A great first issue cover of Norway.

Spain

Alemany

Spain

This registered cover of 1850 from Santander to Havana, Cuba is most pleasing and attractive from a combination of factors which also make it a great rarity. Franked pairs of 6c and 6r in exceptional quality delightfully cancelled by the famous spider cancels beside markings in red and blue and neatly addressed. Registered covers from this period are most elusive never mind to such a distant destination. Altogether an outstanding and most appealing item.

Great-Britain

Alexander

Holy Land

This amazing entire letter written in Arabic was mailed from Jerusalem through the Ottoman Post Office where the 1 piaster stamp received the very rare Jerusalem boxed cancel. At Jaffa the letter was transferred to the Egyptian post and received a strike of the also very rare Egyptian Jaffa datestamp. It then travelled on to Cairo via Alexandria. It is a unique combination of the mails and the only known example on cover of the Egyptian Jaffa datestamp.
